I couldn’t resist. And I wasn’t disappointed. Tanins were much softer than I feared. Some strawberry here, but much more. I had the Usine Pinot a couple of weeks ago and now the cab. Orin Swift is climbing high in my ranking.

Deep color and incredible nose. Picking up french oak, cassis, blackberry, and sugar crystals. Wonderfully, lightly tannic. Nice complexity, delicious finish.

Highly alcoholic, with smooth tannins. Cinnamon, chocolate, overripe black fruit on the nose. It's good, but not $45 good. And the pretentious label and really heavy bottle don't quite make up for it. No knock on Orin Swift; it's a CA industry-wide problem.

Not the first time I’ve had this, but it’s been a while. Big, juicy and bold at 15.5% abv. With juicy burgers and potato salad.
