Ripe Citrus nose, honey yellow floral notes. No boytritis but lots of honey. 6 months oak with battonage. Then ages 50 new 50 one year. Hungarian oak. Full bodied ripe melon lemon, yellow apple.

Zero pre-knowledge and I loved what I discovered. I didn’t realize this had a good nine years of age. It’s also the second Tokaji I’ve opened recently backed by Vega Sicilia. It has a golden copper hue. Concentrated syrup of sour apricots, lychee and starfruit with spiced edges. Canned fruit cocktail and cinnamon.

Such a beautiful wine and great example of how lovely dry Tokjai can be! Honey and orange blossom. This was my last bottle :-(
