Herbaceous and extremely savory nose. Oregano , thyme, charcuterie. Doesn’t overwhelm the fruit. Medium minus on the acid front. Not screaming by any stretch. The Napa heat keeps the finish lingering and savory finish stays long. 14.5%

Jul 23rd, 2022Had the 2016 and 2018 at the tasting as well. Beautiful day! 2016 - a drought year but opus got a lot of rain. 2018- idéal year apparently. 2016 had red and black fruit, coffee, chocolate, olive, oak, baking spice

Dec 25th, 2021What is all the hype about? I’ve had better wines for $10. At $350 this should have just wowed, but it did not. Maybe my palate is not sophisticated enough. Perhaps I’m a Philistine that should only drink box wines and wine coolers. Either that or this is the most overhyped plonk I have ever purchased. For those of you that are thinking of trying this for the first time... skip it. This is the wine equivalent of booking a Disney Resort hotel thinking you’ll get a 5 star experience and then realizing you got a Motel 6 with a mouse painted on it.
