Gorgeous and evocative. Tobacco, violets, roses, tart cherry, and so much Earth.

Fresh, zippy black currants and game. Pretty tannic still.

Floral with red and black fruits and exotic spices on the nose. Medium/plus acidity and firm tannins. Alcohol is medium with visible legs. Body is medium/plus. On the palate, notes of red cherries and cranberry with some spices and a long finish.

Polished (decanted for 1 hour) with a floral nose and smooth black fruits finish. Paired well with braised lamb shanks ala Rajat Par. SS

As usual this Olga Raffael Chinon does not disappoint. It has just a bit of charming brett-y funk, and really pretty sour red fruit and tomato character that is just barely on the correct side of the ripe vs unripe fulcrum.

My Labor Day wine. Sad to see summer come to an end but alway looking forward to fall, which this wine is perfect for.

Manure + Flowers = This wine.
Depending on your palate, this is yummy or no way.
IMO this needs 10+ years.

This wine goes down smooth like a family of worms slithering down ones throat. The acidic level is fairly high to medium sulfuric. Literally not one tannin is present. Some key fruits include raspberry, dingleberry, and tomato. I would pair this with Krokodil and horse flesh to really bring out all its magic. The quality of producer is up in the air but I can guarantee these grapes were dropped in horse manure prior to fermentation. 5 stars.
