Deep ruby color. Aromas of oak, blackberry and strawberry jam, butter, and milk chocolate. Palate is fruit-forward with hints of pepper and baking spice. Soft tannins and smooth, medium-length finish. Good by itself, as an aperitif, or with barbecue. Really softens up after a few days.

Lots of fruit - flavors of strawberries and especially raspberries. A nice mild nose. This wine is sweeter than some zins. But it worked with fried chicken tenders we first paired it with. It was a bit much for the milder marinated boneless skinless chicken the next day. A good value at Trader Joe’s for only $10 I think.

Very smooth thick taste, great mouth feel, tons of blackberries, black cherries, licorice, vanilla. Low acid, great balanced wine
