Decanted for one hour, this wine is very approachable with or without food. Blackberries and other dark fruits are the strongest notes, accompanied pleasantly by vanilla and oak. A pairing with spiced meats may bring out another layer of complexity. Well balanced, and with moderate tannins, this blend also has a long finish that evokes the bourbon barrels it was aged in. — 6 years ago
