Best Lodi wine I’ve ever tasted. Ordered off a menu in Nyack, NY. Not nuanced in any way - fruit forward, Low acidity, violet nose. Zinfandel, Petite Syrah, Barbera and Sangiovese blend. A strange blend. It works if you’re okay with something the presents slightly less than bone dry.

This red blend shows a ripe cherry nose abetted by black pepper and a touch of leather. The palate has an earthy quality, almost savory, but the Zinfandel fruit stands firm. So do the tannins, and the wine’s acidity is bright and fresh.

Zin, Barbera, PS. Great body, fruit profile and a deliciously dry finish.

Big, bold, very fruit forward. Has better structure and more interesting tannin than I expected, which helps make this wine more interesting than a jammy fruit bomb. Not a favorite approach of mine, but this one is interesting.

Once opened, reminded me of grapes from grandfather’s vine. Smooth, but strong. Nose is blah.
