Straightforward Sangiovese from near Forlì. Earthy and slightly rustic, unfiltered. Cherry, touch of oak, leather, and vanilla but medium–light; could be good with a slight chill, too. Lush tannins, some graphite and cedar. From Perry’s, Provincetown. 07/22/2022

ヴィンテージもだいぶ切り替わって、久しぶりのテイスティング。
スミレのような鮮やかな香り、ヨード感も。柔らかな酸となめらかなタンニン。
果実味と旨味がいい塩梅。

What a pleasant surprise, this Sangiovese from Emilia-Romagna!

La Medusa

Enjoyed much more second go around. Lots of earthy notes on the nose. More typical Sangiovese profile. Medium tannins paired well with leftover meatball subs.

Didn’t know what to do with this. Lot of vegetal notes. Def better with charcuterie. Will reassess on next bottle.

Smooth and light

Nicely aromatic with pure, juicy cherries with a herby, sappy edge. On the palate this clearly shows the hot 2018 vintage, with the tannins more chewy & rustic then before. Still stays fresh, but much closer to a Rosso from Montalcino in style than Burgundy.
Buy this in cooler vintages.
