Color of clear ruby, lighter than I expected as she is a cab. Nose of cocoa upon opening. Nose of some cherry, some medicinal herbs, alcohol spice, about average. Taste is sweeter than nose, with ripe cherry, some coffee, some Oaks, and some medicinal herbs once again. She does have some good backbone of tannins. Aftertaste is dominated by warmth of alcohol, and yet again the medicinal syrup note. Not my plate although she is actually decent with above average flavors.

Starts off very earthy with hints of oak, leather and tannins. Smokey (slightly too smokey) up front. Finish mellows out a bit with an after taste of dark fruit and cherry.

A classic simplistic dinner wine for a rich meat pasta or maybe some chili or a thick juicy bone in pork chop!! Woooo! Firm tannins with nice toasted oak and some complex berry flavors. Drink it, kiss someone random and enjoy!

Perfect berry, yet light notes, without being too sweet. Great as a compliment to meat or on its own. (And, no headaches as some American Cab's give.)

1 person found it helpfulMay 8th, 2018Oh lord I’m stuck in Lodi again! This is a wifey go-to regular. I also can enjoy it. Not sure it’s a $21 enjoyment. More like a $15-17. Pretty not too bad though. It’s def a CCR on the Tom Petty scale...enjoyable every time but still no Tom Petty.
