Magic with salami over polenta.

Showing the vintage for sure but still solid, a more feathery expression GV, lime zest, underripe plum, green mango, white pepper and crips green orchard fruits. Focused and precise, bones with little muscle. Day 3: want to take all those things back, now there’s the weight, mind-palate that I normally expect, great leesy noted abound with some richness. Why is GV so damn good after a couple DAYS of being opened? Blows my mind.

Smokey and mineral driven on the palate. White peach and nectarine, sea salt with savory spicy finish.

2014

Lovely, balanced, mineral and citrus laced wine.

Round pineapple with toasted citrus zest. Cutting mineral countered with a soft richness. A complicated story seamlessly told.

And this one is still so lean. A lot of bottle variation for this vintage.

2011--mysterious in the Nikolaihof way, with a white burgundy nose. Just lovely.

Terrific acidity and balance. #Gruner
