The oak is well handled, the nose is complex. Creamy mouth with good length. Smoke, and a certain bitterness. A rarity, very well made but not my thing.

2009 is singing! Rich, honeyed and full in the mouth, but still very fresh with plenty of lift and cut. The texture is much like a Meursault of the same age. Redolent of citrus and white peach with a nice mineral tang.

A hot summer and overall difficult vintage that resulted in one of the earliest picks for this wine has resulted in one of the most austere versions of this bottling I’ve tasted. Still incredibly charming and well made, this is going to deliver pleasure over the next 5-7 years.
