Catching up on some delayed bottle posts...no notes.

Requested to drive up to my good buddies house to help him move his 8ft sheet metal brake to fashion some temporary gutters in advance of hurricane Henri, I was rewarded with wine, of course!

Why do I like this so much? I could sip this easily all night.

White port. Light nutty flavor (usually not my thing but it works here). Some peach. Sherry flavors with a little oxidation. Hints of floral. I want to try it slightly chilled next time. Surprisingly good with dark chocolate cake ball with cayenne spice on top.

Very interesting, old-fashioned kind of wine. Burnt orange peel, old apricot, walnuts, toffee, maple, caramelized pear. Imagine that it might taste good with Shahi paneer or other veggie Indian fare.

Nose: Vanilla, apricot, Apple, and honey. Color: straw yellow. Mouthfeel: heavy and lasting. Taste: lighter then expected honey and Apple linger. Finish: vanilla with a Carmel bite.

When Ice-Cold really good appetizer in summer. Mixes well with tonics for Portonic.
