A marvelous creation from Niepoort from the highly regarded 2011 vintage. Very old vines, up to 100 years old, fermentation in stone lagares with 100% stems, aged for 17 months in french oak. Charme does not only confirm the high quality of the region, but also the wide diversity. A concentrated, lifted red fruit profile, with a deep complexity reaching a defined earthy undergrowth. Silencing palate in complete balance. The very fine grained tannins is keeping the wine togheter throughout the lengthy finish.

Strawberry and red berry. Very burgundian like with mineral and chalk. Light and silky but still have a little core of bitterness. Violet and sweatness and little spicy tone. They said it is design to be like la tache but havent try la tache so dunno. Talcum powder
