Ripe fruit developing a hefty 15.5% ABV. The delicious ripeness of the fruit hiding the high alcohol to an extent. This vineyard has a fascinating history. The Coulee de Serrant vineyard is a controlled appellation of only 7 hectares. The vineyard was planted in 1130 by Cistercian monks and today consists of vines aged from 35 to 80 years old. This Serrant wine was celebrated by Louis XI and Louis XIV as one of the best French white wines.

Deep and complex wine with red apple skin, malted milk and really interesting texture. Felt a little disjointed at first but came together with time in the glass. Plenty of time to go.

Clear, deep gold, high viscosity. Nose - clean, med + intensity, bruised overripe orchard fruit, honey, mineral used oak. Sour on palate, med body, high alc., acidity long finish!
