Aromas of stone fruit, floral and citrus. On the palate apple, melon and peach flavors, with lemon zest, vanilla and toasty notes. Nice balance with bright acidity on long finish with spicy rich oaky mineral ending. Classic CA Chard, very nice!

Well made chard from good source material. Even with cooler climate fruit they still manage to amp this up quite a bit. Some oak influence is noticeable along with the rich golden fruit and a touch of creaminess on the finish.

Subtle wine. Nice fruit and not overdone. Long finish. Apple. Needs a few years. I always like aged Chardonnay from this winery.

Oaky and undistinguished. You can find many California Chardonnays that taste better, have more finesse and structure, and cost less, Chalone and Sonoma-Cutrer among them. For a similar price point, I would choose Chateau Montelena over this every time.

The 2013 Nickel & Nickel Medina Vineyard Chardonnay offers delicate aromas of flowers and spice, with flavors of Muscat, pear and lemon rind expressed on the palate. The lemon-lime acidity is refreshing, along with hints of stone and spicy oak. The fruit notes are forward upon entry with a nice balance that becomes dry on the finish, beckoning for another sip.
