Big explosive nose, smothered in rose pedals and lavender. Dense color. Beautiful cab, with a nice Petit Verdot add.

Stand it up for a week Major sediment Winery notes, composition
100% Cabernet Sauvignon
aging
21 months in 75% new French oak
cooperage
Treuil, Sylvain, Remond, Orion, Alain Fouquet

500 Chevaux is an automobile racing term; French for “500 horsepower.” Nellcôte founder and vintner Tyler Olbres is an avid car-racing fan, and has himself driven in the Monaco Rallye for Classic Cars. This wine is a high-horsepower Cabernet, meant to be sleek, powerful, and fully able to go the distance.
LAST BOTTLE Notes,

Nellcote was an uber-pricey luxury Cab that recently closed its doors, and, after extensive tasting through all the brilliant, incredibly fine-tuned Cabernets early last year, that none other than Phillip Titus (yep, THAT Phillip Titus, the legend behind CHAPPELLET and others!) made,

Big wine for half price on Last Bottle.
It will be awhile before I open my last 2 bottles, I should of bought more at the $50.00 price tag.

sourced from some of the most exclusive vineyards in Napa, including Beckstoffer, Broken Rock Ranch (Stags Leap), Hirondelle Estate (Stag’s Leap) and more, and made in hyper-small quantities, and sort of the classic “modern” rich Napa Cab style.

Accessible. Subtle fruit in the nose. Good long flavor evolution. Definitely has dark fruit forward. Some tannin but not heavy. Quite delightful. We enjoyed this after a 2014 Rallye 76, against which it pales. That was probably unfair to do to ourselves. Still this is a solid and delightful bottle. 9.0 or 9.1.
