I’m sorry. I just like Grenache more than Tempranillo. A lot more. I haven’t had this in a few years and the oak has nicely integrated. Nose has beautiful kirsch and ripe raspberry fruit accompanied by a note of sweet vanilla. Also a faint gravel note. Mouthfilling and soft. Lots of body and still some soft tannin. Nice balance.

I don't think I've ever had a pure 100% Garnacha from Rioja before. This is good, but overoaked. Nose features lots of toasty oak, underneath which is gorgeous black raspberry fruit and a nice gravelly note similar to what you get from Chianti Classico. Good concentration and nice fruit/acid balance, but the wood tannins intrude. Long finish. This may warrant a much higher score in 5 years if the wood integrates, because the stuffing and balance are there. ($15 from wtso.com)

Tamarind and black currant on the nose. Some barnyard upfront with a nice mango/papaya flavor. There’s heat and pepper on the finish. Surprisingly enjoy this one!
