Beckstoffer To-Kalon Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
Tobacco dried fruit. Slightly vegetative. Nice tannins.

Sep 11th, 2015Shallow, astringent, green, stemmy, impure, a poor example of sorting and/or picking, and a terrible example of the ToKalon Vineyard, which I hold highly in regard. Sorry MX, you're no Schrader. The Schrader, on the other hand is both a tribute to both the vineyard and Thomas Rivers-Brown, the Winemaker.

Nov 24th, 2013May be on the cusp of drinking window. Bordeaux note and strong tannins that did open up over some time. Lots of sediment. Had w/BBQ chick and tots. High expectations with BTK and Oakville grapes.

Oct 5th, 2020Wow special. Rose. Just a touch too high alcohol.

Jan 14th, 2019Expected a lot more from this wine considering its Beckstoffer and Kalon grapes. It is dark red in color, smells of big berry fruit and currants. Big tannins but rounded. Not fruit forward at all...big leather and yeasty. In a nut shell smells like a napa Cabernet but tastes like a French Bordeaux. Lucy Napa with Kim.
