Muir Wood
Arroyo Seco Chardonnay

Buttery with a floral elegance at the finish. Suuuuuper yummy. May be one of the best chardonnays I've had!

Apr 10th, 2021Color: 12.5. Odd combination of light straw and deep gold depending on depth. Aroma: 21, vanilla, caramel, candied pear, baked apple. Body is a bit heavy, lacking some acid and structure to help lift the baked apple pie notes. Hints of pineapple bring a tropical tinge. 20. Finishes with a zestier lemon and tropical fruit note. Lingers with a bit of alcohol burn on the finish. Surprising given the heaviness, 31. Overall an 84.5

Outstanding, robust white with a mildly buttery flavor that is excellent with seafood. I had it with paella and it was great.

Color of light gold, with a bit yellow and green hue. Nose of ripe banana, mango and pineapple, a bit spice, oaky, and a bit Sprite. Nose is quite decent. Taste of good acidity and oaky note, slightly sweet, a bit mineral, and a bit zest. A bit light. Aftertaste is also on the side with some warm finish. On par.
