Light, bright and mid red fruits with fresh red florals on the nose. Palate of; raspberries, dark cherries, cherries, plum, medium spice, light tannins & minerals with a lean body, high acidity that's easy to drink young. Photo of Mt. Difficulty and part of the outside patio. If I remember the Mt. Difficulty naming story correctly, it goes something like this...back in the 1850's, a man was looking for a an easy pass or way to across the mountain range into town (asuming Queenstown). Finally turned around, stating it was just to difficult to cross.

It has been awhile since I have been able to drink from the Mtn..
absolutely lovely bouquet of grape fruit mixed with wet bark, mmmmmmm
Bramble, blackberry seed, smoked herbs. Lively tannins dancing with humbled acids. Mmmmmmmm
I have never had a bad wine from central Otago!

Young but still had the Mt Difficulty quality. Fruit was strong and bold at the front but quite good at the back with no hint of earth with some of the cheaper Otago Pinots.

A pinot strong enough to stand up to red meat. This is simply fantastic. Drier than expected, but just as it should be.
