May 1st, 2021And now we come to an absolute banger. A shimmering lemon gold color with fine bubbles and innate creaminess. The nose is outstanding and explodes with a burst of orchard fruits and dainty white flowers. Grapefruit and oranges combine with a hint of smoke and honeycomb. As it matures over time notes of subtle yeast and a dash of cinnamon spice. Phenomenal.
Solera method. Perpetual reserve wines. Beautifully crazy stuff. With the incorporation of reserve wines starting from 2003, there is an added touch of brilliance and purity here. The master of Meunier, Cedric Moussé, adds 20% Pinot Noir to the mix here and this is a champagne that sings. Late disgorgement with no dosage and it’s truly not needed.
Terrific acid and structure leading to the palate which envelopes you with wonderful fruit. Cherries, melon, and more grapefruits star with nutty goodness. A serious champagne with a playful nature. Absolutely stellar.
