Mount Pleasant Wines
Elizabeth Hunter Valley Sémillon
I was ready to pour it down the drain and.... JJJJJJJJJJJJJ!!!!!!!!!!!! That Hunter semillon had done it again.
Late released in 1998, 10% in alcohol, this wine is in such balance. Showing honeyed character, lime jelly, angled onion(or lemon grass if you prefer..i just picked some angled onion weeds in the backyard for my salad😬),marzipan, dried apricot, gingerbread, hay, lanolin and such a freshness that drives me nut. Have I been lucky? I start to think perhaps not.
