The Infamous Goose Sauvignon Blanc
Tonight's wine I have opened the 2018 The Infamous Goose Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand.
On the nose there is lots of grapefruit, peach, lime, grass, herbal notes and nice minerality.
The palate reveals zesty lime, grapefruit, green apple, gooseberry, green pepper, green herbal notes, minerality and wet concrete.
This wine is light to medium bodied with a razor crisp mouthfeel, high acidity that leads to a long fresh fruit mineral driven finish. I am enjoying the New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs more and more. I am going to have to revisit my favorite area the Loire Valley to compare these Sauvignon Blancs a little closer. Please stay safe and have a great rest of your week. Nostrovia! π₯π₯π₯

Straight forward crisp SB. This is what makes NZ so reliable. Any random supermarket bottle meets the minimum cut off. This one is great for a quick Christmas Eve lunchtime quaff and to add to all the sauces weβre prepping for tonight. π

Dec 24th, 2019A simple and crisp Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand.
Showing mainly grapefruits with citrus and limes.
Medium bodied with medium plus acidity.
Fruity, refreshing and enjoyable by itself or with food.
Nice for the pool or porch on a hot day.
In summary, this is pretty much a grapefruit juice with alcohol, not bad, though. π
13% alcohol by volume.
86 points.

Very aromatic tropical nose brings guava, pineapple and passion fruit notes with subtle petroleum in the background. The tangy palate highlights more tropical and citrus notes like grapefruit with a grassy undertone. Moderate+ acid, medium finish stays on the tongue.
