Popped and poured. No formal notes. Over the last 18 months or so, I have been slowly falling in love with this producer. The wines are lovely expressions of Pinot Noir and super reasonable (considering) since it’s Monthélie. Particularly when you consider the Porcheret connection (Leroy). The fruit for this wine comes from their 3 acre (approx.) monopole in Monthélie. It was certainly enjoyed the young side but already quite the beauty. Better after 2025 and likely to be lovely through 2035.

More pronounced, bright fruit than most Burgundies. Slightly American in style (don't hate me for that comment!). Blueberry jam and sour cherry. Fairly long finish. I like this wine.

Lovely plush fruit and just barely edging into tertiary aromas. An 02 village that just trucking on into the future.

2011 vintage. Bold red. Dusty, high styled nose, featuring pomegranate, cranberry, anise, & black cherry liquor with underlying damp earth. Sexy female cousin to Barolo. This wine is impressive, showing plum, fig, salty black cherry, and cedar. Finish is long with caressing milk chocolate and fine tuned fruit. Tannins are polished...one word, Sexy.

Like a baby Volnay. Aromatically driven and surprisingly elegant for the village.

I opened this yesterday and was closed for business. Better today. Tart cherry and faint cedar.
