Verruzzo di Monteverro Red Blend

Well, i’m a sucker for Cabernet franc so of course this one peaks my interest and doesn’t disappoint. Great Bordeaux blend with similar tasting profiles: cigar box, cherry, cassis are the most prominent. I like that Verruzzo means ‘small wild boar’ due to the wildlife that roams the land around the vineyards. I bet this would pair well with some boar.

40% Merlot, 25% Cab. Sauvignon, 25% Cab. Franc and 10% Sangiovese.

Bam!!! Budget Toscana that delivers the goods. Cherry, coffee, leather, spices. Touch of oak but there is enough fruit to wear it.

God Bordeaux-blend

Solid lil Super Tuscan: inky dark dense, thick w/dark berry fruit, liqueur like expression, cassis, forest floor, initially funky but it blew off to a more focused polished Left Bank offering. Well knit, seamless thru finish
