Certainly the best Syrah I've had from the continent. Might be one of the best wines I've had from South America. Utterly massive amounts of perfectly ripe dark fruits: black berries, blueberries, black cherries...finish lasts for 60 seconds. Still an adolescent. Years to go on this.

Een van de mooiste syrah's die ik ooit gedronken heb. Prachtig geouderd, nog wat zachte tannine, sappig, zwarte bes en zwarte peper, harmonieus. Heerlijke wijn.

2005 vintage. Starts out surprisingly on the red fruit category on the palate, with smoke, cigar box, black rocks, red dirt, little bit of sanguine iron. Tannins become increasingly drying and firmer as it sits and the fruits morph into more of the black sphere. Long finish. Very pleased with how this has held up!

Holy Toledo! #biggirlwine Massive Syrah, with waves of fresh tobacco, creme de cassis, spice, and cherry cordial coming off the nose. Very creamy with ripe cherries and blackberries, chicory root blueberries, and vanilla on the mid-palate oddly enough, and a dirty, licorice-y backend. Give it some air to calm down or be prepared to be knocked off your seat!

Great wine, a classic! Especially if you like big and bold. Just bought 6 more 2005's and 6 2009's which are potentially even better according to some ratings.
