Soulful Syrah blend here. Terrific nose that is so earthy. Ashen coals, deep cherry, smoke and tar. A very Nebbiolo Sangiovese nose. Wonderful minerality. As old school as it gets. Brilliant aroma. 9.4-9.5. Palate is super juicy, exceptionally mineral and so so fresh. Needs to fill out but it’s all there. Ripe and textured tannins and so so earthy on the palate. Good sap and wonderful deep cherry fruit. Rustic but awesome. Some blackberry after air. Black cherry fruit and licorice develop on the palate while the structure starts to show. Excellent.

This was infanticide - absolutely inky & impenetrable color, and shut down nose. I caught a glimpse of the power & depth after several hours, but I opted to hold the bottle for a couple of days… glad I did: drenched in rich black cherry, blackberry, black plum, and secondary notes galore: smoke & white pepper, lilacs & violets, turned soil, cherry cough drop, and so much more. Wave after wave, first it was Brunello then it was some intense Aussie Shiraz. Palate is huge, but finely grained tannins. Lacking acidity is really the only facet holding this back. Paired w/leftover roasted lamb w/balsamic reduction over rice. Impressive @Lyle Fass but I won’t touch this again for at least 5 yrs

Nose that fills up the whole room. I got rubber and ash and licorice and lipstick, but it’s a kaleidoscope and changes every five minutes for hours. Amazing stuff - wouldn’t waste it on a meal.

Quite delicious.

Nose is blackberry flowers. As it opens garden flowers. Lavender. Lilacs. Pungent dark pink roses.

Palate is fresh juicy fruit. Super vibrant. Really fresh blackberries and medium cherries. Incredibly crisp. There’s this hard to define richness with a hint of balancing bitterness. Crazy elegant laser like juicy delicious spice. Like fresh harvested from dune.

an elegance erupts an hour in. Gorgeous. Drop fucking dead. Just sexy fruit but in a Dior gown.

2 hours in you get this liquid elegant cherry lilac crazy shit. Fuck. This is awesome. Curtaz is just god. He is god. My man crush is fulfilled.

Finish is so crisp. Almost like when you bite into a fresh just picked piece of fruit. You know how it just hits your palate with acid and fruit and you are just like damn that’s perfect. That’s This. A hint of licorice.

Sort of like a super Tuscan for smart people.
