Great "retro" Chianti Classico character without the off-the-charts Brett. Nice and clean, good acid, could have used a couple more years but good value Chianti.

1 person found it helpfulJul 24th, 2015Bright red cherry, red plum, and a subtle note of herbs like tomato leaf or dill make this a solid chianti, even if the alcohol and tannins stuck out just a bit. The effect of the Mediterranean sun was unmistakeable, but we were waffling between Chianti Classico and Spanish Tempranillo. The fruits are bright enough and the structure serious enough that I wonder what 3-5 years will do to this. With @Rajiv Ayyangar for Monday night blinds at nopa.
