Silly value. Stately. Crisp acidity, dark, fresh, plummy fruits. Herbs, dirt. Drank well into a fourth night (it's 1L after all). Montebernardi is the Chianti estate to pay attention to for me

Nov 18th, 2015Rasberries and cherry Luden's, hint of leather. Light, juicy, dangerously easy to drink. Served with Michael White's tortellini with pork in creamy ragu. With Dean Martin on Spotify. A perfect pairing, and the straw bottle adds a perfect touch of nostalgia.

Sep 19th, 2015You can almost hear the rooster in the background when you drink this wine. Light bodied and dangerously drinkable, it is impossible to part with should you need it for a cooking wine. Underripe cherries, organic earth, and red raspberries fill the nose and palate. Any vessel will work to drink out of--the less conventional, the better.
