Gorgeous. Opens up beautifully with a bit of air.... Perfectly paired with roast leg of lamb!

This one poured with a medium density rusty rose color. This wine was a little 'thin' at first, but two hours later it was ROCKING. Lots of herbal black cherry on the nose and palate, a little earthy, some mint and hint of tobacco leaf in the middle. Finishes a little acidic, with really great fruit that just kept building the longer this one was open. I think I'm going to let this other bottle sit for a LONG while before opening it!

Well worth the wait—2010 was a great vintage for Piedmont. This wine isn't as muscular and bold as barbaresco from previous years, but have no fear, the wine is confident and sexy—all the strength without the bulky brawn. Dark stewed fruit and a hint of smoke bring it home.
