This wine has finally turned the corner. I let it spread its wings for an hour. Nose displays sandalwood, nutmeg and cherry pie. Palate is laser-focused and precise. Presents as a contemporary Sangiovese, which is fruit-forward, but eight years in, it’s still displays bold tannins. Red fruits, leather and earth, which finish with intensity. Needs more time, and when it softens, it will continue to improve.

A big wine packed with smoke, tar, leather and licorice. It comes together nicely with spice and dark fruit. Very nice and think it could have gone for a few more years.
