Mino & Co
A Growers Touch Shiraz
We finally cracked into this Mino + Co Shiraz which I picked up for a bargain price of $10 at the end of the Wine Island weekend with @travelling_piccolo last year. It normally retails for $20!
It’s made in NSW’s Riverina region which is centred around the town of Griffith, down near the bottom of NSW. It’s closer to Melbourne than Sydney however Canberra would be the closest major city.
Anyway, enough geography. The Mino & Co ‘a growers touch’ range celebrates the farmers who grow their grapes and emphasises the importance of terroir. The hands pictured on the bottle are those of Isidoro Guglielmino who has been a grower for Mino & Co for 15+ years.
This bright and friendly Shiraz is a garnet red shade in the glass. It’s bursting with peppered dark berry fruits and leather on the nose with those spicy berry fruits flowing through to the palate with a nice lick of tannins. Totally a Netflix and chill wine 😉
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #tcweekdaywine
