Slightly Pettilant, which adds some necessary texture. A touch bland.

Apr 28th, 2014Did you know next Thursday (24th of May) is International #ChardonnayDay? Well I thought I’d start practising with this bottle of Chardy from the latest #thetcwineclub monthly box 📦
Milton Winery produce this Crazy By Nature Shotberry 2015 Chardonnay from Gisborne in New Zealand 🇳🇿. It’s organic and biodynamic.
Fun fact: Milton were the first in the Southern Hemisphere to have their vineyards certified as biodynamic. Biodynamic farming is “a holistic, homeopathic manner of farming that, of course, also includes viticulture. It is the oldest, anti-chemical agricultural movement that predates the creation of organic farming by about twenty years.” - Wine Folly.
This Chard is a super crisp lemon & lime colour in the glass. Notes of mandarins, creamy citrus, green veg and hints of minerality rise from the glass. While in the mouth it’s fresh and vibrant with pears, peach and grapefruit coming through for me.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #winesample #tcweekdaywine
