To quote Kelly from Milbrandt, "dusty cocoa", ripe plums and a bit of cedar. Smooth and easy drinking.

D managed to send this to us at the end of the Denali park road as a surprise. Made it taste even better.

Scents of alcohol and minor red fruits amend a syrupy mouthfeel that has tones of blackberries, peppers, and hints of coffee. Medium heavy body with soft tannin. Pairs well with conch fritters. Note this is not a pure Merlot, but a blend of 75% Merlot, 13% Syrah, 7% Cabernet, 3% Malbec, and 2% Petit Verdot.

Vanilla, oak and hints of cocoa. The 2011 vintage aged very well & tastes better with time.
