I always get excited about a great wine that doesn't break the wallet ($30). This Rioja has lots of earth, mushroom, and dried herbal notes with dark, spicy fruit, pepper, grippy tannins and nicely balanced acid. It was great with my grilled mushroom burger and truffle/Parmesan Tater Tots. That's right... Tater Tots. What? Very enjoyable wine. I need to buy more!
