Aged in 40% new French oak, medium Ruby color with slight purple edges, with aromas of dark berry fruits, cedar and spicy forest floor notes. On the palate flavors of boysenberry, blackberry, and crushed red cherries with notes of cedar and baking spice, lively acidity, fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit and earthy notes. Drinking well! Pair this with a pork roast.

Feb 10th, 2021Consumed 12/2024. I think this was in the $40 range.Alc 14.2% by vol.  I had it with some feta cheese and olives that were marinated with herbs and it was OK. Then I tried it with some pork and green bean casserole and again, just OK in my opinion. The bottle says beautiful, high tone, red fruit, flavors of cherry, cranberry and strawberry, and enticing hints of orange – cinnamon spice. I honestly can’t say that I picked up on any of that.

Subtle flavors, but the wine holds up through the entire meal. Comparable to a bo😎burgandy premier cru. Very enjoyable. A tad expensive though if bought through the winery. Had this at a restaurant near San Diego for about the same price. Total Wine had a few bottles for around $30. Well worth it at that price. 😎
