Tortoniano Barolo Nebbiolo

Very good, floral, earthy, light spice. Tons of tannin and acid.

2012—well-integrated and revealing light aromatics. Classic Barolo accord of cherry, spices, tannins, leather, & oak. Sublime with lamb shanks & polenta.

Opened up beautifully . Very smooth with grilled wild sword fish. Quite tight on first night with vegetarian lasagna.

Color of burgundy, clear. Nose of nice traditional Barolo, spice and sweet strawberry, crayon and aldehyde, a bit oak and the nose keeps coming. Taste of solid tanning, quite polished, zest, black tea, strawberry, peppery, a bit mineral, and more bittersweet zest. Aftertaste is medium long, with lavish acidity, black pepper, zest, and strawberry note. Nice concentration and flavors.

Big surprise, noise did not represent traditional old world. Violently smooth with wild berry, exotic spice and balsamic aromas. Structured palette with ripe cranberry, star anise and white pepper. Great welcome back from Italy
