Great nose of spice dark red cherries, some plum and a meatiness. Decaying. leaves and huge minerals. Expansive. Palate has that extraordinary Rebourgeon fruit wrapped in silk. Gorgeous finesse here. Long and juicy. Black and red cherries galore. So well made.

My man killed 2020. Slayed it like it was a dragon. Super nose of stone, dark red cherries, lovely earth character, some tweed jacket and all of this is presented like refined silk or velvet. Man what strides William has taken. Wow that is just the sexiest, velvet, sweet fruited Pommard one can imagine! This is so fresh, yet also lush and succulent. Wow. What texture and refinement. Williams’s tannin quality has improved so much from 19 to 20. They are so silky, sweet and finely knit. Nose starting to get more red cherries and some nice florals. He nailed this vintage. So energetic and juicy. Just so good. As it airs I’ll be back. Such freshness with air and it gets tangy. Terrific, invigorating Pommard. After 3 hours nose has dark florals. Palate is now elegant and has such deep echoing fruit. So rich yet so ethereal. Masterful.

Yowza. This smells very very complex. Huge Pommard stoniness. Stone powder. Pulverized stones. So complex and so ebullient. What a nose. Insane cherry flower. Huge red cherries with rock dust on them. Amazing depth on the nose. A 9.5 nose. Just insane. What a value this wine is. Candied and confectionary. Wow stunning confectionery inner mouth aromas. So juicy and sweet with unreal fruit. This kid gets just insane fruit. Again, with that super 19 balance. So fresh and so sappy. This is so good. Also a meaty dimension as well. Focused like a laser and such pretty mid season cherry fruit and ripe, sweet and velvety tannins. Really terrific length and what a finish. This is great. So complete. William had made the leap in 19.

Killer nose. Becoming one of my favorite village Pommards. Beautiful haunting cherry. Lipstick like intensity. So much stone and minerals. So Pommard. Floral as well. So vibrant and lifted. Palate is deep, energetic and loaded with such pure fruit. Terrific clarity and lift with a small hit of opulence and then finishes so stoney. Beautiful balance and freshness. Wow, did William nail this vintage. Awesome fruit and length. Amazing stuff. Big step up over 17, which was terrific. Almost a cherry/raspberry pastille like aroma after air. The delicious factor on this is off the charts. But it also has terrific grace. What minerality and energy. The finish is just incredible. It begins when you think it ends. Firm tannins but ripe suggest this needs 3-4 years but it is all there.

Haunting aromas. Berry melange and cherry flower presented in a confectionary way. Very stoney. Classic Pommard. Palate is ripe, juicy and barely sweet with great energy and purity. So straight. Really really well made. Deep, energetic and terrific fruit while also exhibiting mineral clarity that is sensational. Very velvety tannins.

Burgundy's Bourbon - heavy handed whack of oak, rich and decadent like a box of chocolate covered cherries, or cherry cola, or sweet medicine, sprinkle of sea salt.

Needs at least an hour of air. Not a pop and pour !!!

Nose is elegant blackberry flower. Gorgeous graphite. Very cornassy. An ephemeral elegance about it.

Palate is elite elegant blackberry. Pencil lead. So juicy and fresh. Mountain stream. Elegant grip.

Fail on my part for drinking this with not enough air. It’s a serious wine. Ignore the price. Oops. 1er cru quality. $100 blind.
