Pale golden yellow color with abundant pin prick bubbles and rich brioche, baked apple, floral, and a hint of butterscotch aromas. On the palate, it's dry, medium-full bodied with rich mixed baked apples, a bit of ruby grapefruit flavors, wonderful acidity and minerality. Dosed at 6g/LLingering finish.

Mar 22nd, 2015Few gifts have done as much to loosen me up as @Fred Fox's present of a Champagne saber. Now I have learned to #saberit and enjoy life! @Michel Loriot makes one of the few pure Chardonnay Champagnes that does not undergo malo, so they keep it for many years before releasing it. I love the clean earth, vibrancy and surprising texture of this great Champagne. It was perfect with a first course of Dungeness crab cakes!
