Lovely expression of Syrah, excellent concentration and gives a real sense of place. Violets and earth on the nose, sanguine dark fruit, pepper and tobacco on the palate. Nicely savory. Mineral finish. A wine with a story to tell.

A genuinely exciting wine, this entry-level bottling from Stephane Ogier is a brilliant expression of northern Rhône Syrah that ticks many of the varietal boxes. Aromatic and fresh, with dark plum, cherry compote, dark chocolate, espresso and a slight blueberry note that almost contributes to a Barossa character, it feels generous on the palate with moderate tannin and acidity alongside notes of black pepper and black tea. The ABV of 12.5% is also refreshing.

Northern Rhone, 100% Syrah, raspberry, blackberry, black pepper, mild spice. Lovely fruit density and spot-on ripeness, soft ripe tannin. Fruit profile blackened over the evening. Reminds me of Alex Head’s The Contrarian. 22€

Super cool find today. Great wine and happens to be at a great price! Thanks to the Sommelier at the Bench who sold me this versus the $125 wine I was going to order. Great spice and fruit and soft Tannin.

I feel like the "value" Rhône wines perform better than almost any other wines of the same category from other regions. This is great, classic N. Rhône character on a moderate frame. At first funk, red plums, wild berries and violets filled the glass, evolving into grilled bacon, beef blood, black licorice, and peppery olive character. While it doesn't have the density nor weight of some Syrah it still is lovely and engaging to drink.

Lovely wine. Florals, woodsmoke, dark cherrys, vegetable juice, faint spice and no new oak in sight. Raspy, sandy tannin profile and supple but present tannin. Slightly tight to begin with, worth giving some air. Would kill it with some tacos
