Michael David Winery
Rapture Cabernet Sauvignon
Small production with a little Petite Sirah added and aged 17 months in French oak. Dark Ruby with aromas of sweet berry fruits and floral notes. On the palate big flavors of blackberry and cherry, almost jammy with vanilla oak, fine smooth tannins well balanced with sweet notes on the long finish.

1 person found it helpfulDec 28th, 2016Used to be a bruiser of a cab, now it is smooth and silky. I never thought this wine would last this long nor have this kind of polish but I was wrong. Still very ripe stewed blackberry/raspberry flavors with a tinge of animal blood. Not real complex but is delicious with beef tenderloin and horseradish cream.
