Blackberry, mocha, raspberry, currant, licorice, oak and hints of dried sage. Excellent structure and velvety tannins.

Mar 18th, 2019The Sharp Sisters red is inky purple, with a nose of big, black fruit and quite a savory side. I smell cigar box, spice rack and cedar plank on the nose, in addition to the plums and blackberries. The palate comes on less brawny that expected given the high-octane alcohol number. It's a pleasant array of black and blue fruit that is remarkably smooth, yet it's tannins are muscular enough to sit with a ribeye.

On the palate it’s rich and full bodied with a good salty savoriness and sweet, sticky tannin. There’s flavors of plums, raspberries, blackberries, vanilla, black pepper, and green peppers. What a fruit bomb with intriguing additions. It finishes with blackberries, vanilla, and that salty savoriness.
