Very impressive for its age...
The nose is expressive with caramel, mixed nuts and butterscotch. The wine is viscous on the palette. It has a good weight and rounded texture, in large part, due to the oak treatment . Finishes with citrus fruits and quince. This still has time ahead of it, but is probably best consumed now.

Colour made me go 'ahum'..: Amber-orange-gold.
Nose is dominated by caramel, butterscotch, roasted nuts. Evolved, mature. Sure. Clearly this was better, fresher, a few years ago.
But in the mouth it's still surprisingly well balanced, not tired nor oxidised. Interesting notes of sweet tobacco, peach and orange marmelade, dried apricots, honey drizzled pecans. Very nice next to a salade of grilled veggies and Iberico ham!
