Aug 31st, 2014A bit different style than is my preference in syrahs - a bit more reserved - but this is still terrific.

May 14th, 2020Another wine we picked up on our Santa Barbara trip... this one was kind of a roller coaster, as the nose was big and fearsome: blackberries, macerated plums, brown sugar. But the taste was surprisingly gentle, with soft tannins. This Syrah comes from tightly planted vines, which results in small, concentrated berries. The upshot is that it’s more fruit forward (and less intensely flavorful) than Donna’s. By the end of the bottle, we were really enjoying it; a big red that that won’t get you drunk.

Mar 15th, 2020Beautiful dark ruby color with no browning on the edges, nose of white peper opening the to cherry, vanilla & hint of tangerine rind, medium full body caresses the tongue with cherry with hints of blueberry that then bids adieu with a medium long finish. This wine is now in its prime but will be great for several more years
