Rurale Pet Nat Riesling

Surprising structure here. Barrel fermentation and aging for 9 months followed by an additional 6 months in bottle. Barrel influence is notable with lemon curd, ginger, rich pomme fruit, and green apple. The finish is long and mineral. Somewhat cider like. Better as it opens up and warms in the glass. Demeter certified biodynamic.

Quaffable acidic and very slightly sweet bubbly. Very well done - a bit on the funky side but not overly so

So so so so so good. Rebuy.

I like this pet nat version better than traditional method versions I've tasted.
