Leathery on the nose. Sharp.
Oaky, thick, but somehow medium-bodied. Drinkable, but at %15 tells you to slow down and enjoy the dark fruits and mellow medium finish.

I've read a lot about cocoa taste in wine. This is the first time I've actually tasted it. This was really good. Unique and interesting. I'd but again especially at $11 at total wine.

Smelled funny, like the bottle went bad. Turpentine-ish aroma. Very strong aftertaste.

Ruby hue with high saturation. Aromas and flavors of caramel, pepper, raspberry, strawberry jam, and vanilla. Full-bodied; medium-plus tannins; and medium-plus acidity. Jammy and fruity on the nose, with an oaky-tinged palate and a medium-length finish. Intriguing Zinfandel-based blend (with Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, and Port).

Lovely ruby color. Dark cherry/raspberry fruitiness upfront but then big oaky/tannic finish takes over (esp as it warms up). Drinks well with food, but then stands well on its own after dinner
