This one has spunk. Very bright and acidic—like lemonade levels of acidic. Cherry juice, little raspberry, and a hint of slate. Not many layers or waves. Wonderful outdoor summer red.

I thought this was boxy at first but it comes together after a few days. It’s what you expect from a great biodynamic producer like Meinklang - an entry level Pinot with high acid, lean and crusty minerals forming into red fruit and soil. You roll the dice when you play with Pinot and this is as good as you can get for about $26. Just give it time to breathe.
