An experiment. So consistently strong, and clearly has longevity. No rush to consume these…
So decadent, going close to the explosive line, but doesn’t cross it. Blueberries and rich black fruits mesh with sandalwood and brown sugar. Weighty on the mid palate with relaxed acidity. This is epic. Still in its prime so consume now.

Wifey pic and she’s in artsy-fartsy mode, again!
The nose is pure strawberry jam. The palate is sweet, yet earthy. Tannins are completely integrated, with hardly any acidity. Very fruit-forward with red and blue fruits. This should not be cellared beyond 12 - 24 months, besides, it’s not going to go to a better place, given its composition and structure.

Big, deep, long. Less finesse than the Myraid. This one is more like Scarlett met the Oakland Raiders. The density of the fruit needs some time to balance out. Great stuff.

Dark ruby color. Juicy, plum, Tobacco, wet fall leaves, black pepper. Big in the nose. Body is lighter than expected. I would want more tannin and body to balance the fruit. Probably would not age well. Lacks the depth and complexity to be at 9+. Very fruit forward.

Much better this time around, but still required a 2.5-3 hour decant.

First vintage where i prefer myriad, quivet, and becklyn over the scarlett. Not big tannins so probably not an ager but it’s tight on opening that gives a sense of thinness. Double decanted it back in the bottle and it has more viscosity. Tastes pretty good now

The infamous 2016 vintage! Inspired by Sir@Ron R and @Brandon Thurber!

I believe this has settled itself down a bit since I last had it. Unquestionably not nearly as good as the 15.

The tannins have softened and I am in agreement with
@Ron R that this might not make significant gains in the future. It has rapidly matured and, when I first had it, I felt it was a short to medium term hold, I’m now saying it’s a drink.
