Great Barolo, but I was expecting a bit more from this one. The nose was just fragrant as usual, with candied cherry and rose water on the nose, and great rim variation, but sadly the pallet, although very flavorful, was a tad thin and left to soon. No gripping tannin like I'm used to, even from one that is 9 years old like this one, just felt more like Langhe Nebiolo.. bright side is the other labels of their Barolo have been better in these years, for the same price ranges.

This was a real beauty. Deep and delicate.

Cola, plums, cranberries, and tobacco, with a bit of cherry - just what you would expect. Decanted for about 6 hours. Probably past it’s prime though.

A hearty Italian red with French-red type hints of tobacco and a dark chocolate esque bite at the end. Sturdy on the nose and strong on the palette, this mellows out a bit with some breathing and time - presents a little smoother on day 2. Good solid glass!

This Barolo is full of ripe dark fruit. Perfect balance of fruit, oak, and tannins. This is a must have.

Gentle, yet complex nose: overripe raspberry, tea leaf, tree sap, garden herbs, rose pedals. Cherries linger on the palate with hints of green olives into a juicy, linear finish of bright red fruit. Slight bit of heat on the backend. Drink now or over the next 3 years.

Leather aroma, strong tannin, slightly astringent with oak and a lingering spice.
