Matthiasson
Tendu Yolo County Mataro
This is so fun and easy to sip. Light bodied (look at that color) with bright strawberry , raspberry , red apple.

Aug 28th, 2019New grape for me. Decent body, but flavor was mellow. Floral, bright acidity and raspberry. Goes down like water.

Dec 31st, 2020Unfussy quality low intervention from Steve Mathisson. Impossibly light cherry tutti fruity. Clean as a whistle.

Oct 25th, 2020I’m a huge fan of Matthiassan’s stuff and was eager to try this new line when I first heard about it. I expected fresh, unfussy, glou glou along the lines of a Bojo Village or Zweigelt, but this was just a disappointment in every way. I haven’t encountered brett like this in a long time. Even on day two bandaid was the most noticeable aromatic. If you can get through that there is some mild pomegranate, cranberry, and cherry there, but it’s just too little too late. Perhaps the other Tendu offerings are great, but this wasn’t.

Nov 10th, 2019This was everything I wanted: wonderfully balanced, delicious fruit, beautiful nose, great acidity, and the price is right! Should be on everyone's "go to" list.

May 17th, 2019Dunnigan hills mataro 10.8% and $15! I kinda love this wine—Blind I’d probably guess something Jurassic, a ploussard or something. Not profound or so deeply mineral, but for the $ and far and away the best most focused tendu I’ve ever had in any vintage.
